To have a Christ-like life is simply a means of growing toward the life that God offers. Salvation is intended for us to enjoy today and eternity. Whatever has gripped us in our past has no power, whatever holds us down today Jesus does not hold it against us. We are free to live knowing what our final destination is, but also that He is close. We can enjoy our salvation now.
