Children's
Ministry

Children's ministry at First Presbyterian is based on our belief that discipleship depends on strong relationships and Biblical teaching. The whole church is encouraged to get involved in our inter-generational events. Sunday morning during our regular worship service, “Junior Church” is offered for children ages 5 – 10.

We have also started a Mother's Morning Out program on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 -1:00. Call the Church office for more information

Senior Adult Ministry

Silver Circle is the organization of “senior citizens” of the congregation.  They may have silver hair, but they  are young at heart!  Silver Circle offers fellowship for its members, and it keeps them informed of activities and programs of the church.  They meet on the third Friday of each month at 11:00 am.  Meetings always begin with a devotional, and after an informative and entertaining program, a catered luncheon is enjoyed by all who attend.

Presbyterian
Women

Presbyterian Women (PW) provides the women in our church meaningful ways to live out their faith through a caring community of women.  The goal is to strengthen the Presbyterian Church and to share the good news of Jesus Christ in word and action throughout our local community and the world.  Currently there are four groups of women that meet regularly. They are:

  1.   The Birdsong/Jenkins Circle meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am.

  2. The Girardeau/Simpson Circle meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

  3. The Lunch Bunch Circle meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:00 pm.

  4. Bible Study meets each Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel.

Men of the Church

The Men of the Church meet to several times a year to share in times of fellowship. They prepare the food for cookouts and other events held at the pavilion.  Each year in October they host a fish fry.
