RESPONSE

Hymn of Response               Lord, Be Glorified                2150

Prayers and Confession         (Responsive)

Lord, we often study and hear the Scriptures.

Yet we are slow to let You change our hearts

through them.

We often seek Your will for our lives.

But we don’t have the courage to walk where

You want us to.

Too often we only want to do that part of Your

Word with which we are comfortable.

Forgive us, Lord, and open our hearts to be

willing to apply all of Your Word to our lives.

(The pastor continues the prayer)

In the name of Jesus who taught us to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on

earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever.  Amen.
