Prayers
and Confession (Responsive)
Loving God, You have called us to love and
care
for one another.
Yet, we tend to focus mainly on our own selves
and often our love is
superficial.
We pass by those in our own midst who need
our
friendship
and affection.
We ignore the voices of those who call out
for
our attention.
We forget that we are the Body of Christ
and
should
care for others even as You care for us.
Forgive
us, Lord, and help us make a difference in by showing Your
love in sincere ways.
The pastor continues the prayer)
In the name of Jesus who taught us to
pray:
Our
Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive
us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
