RESPONSE

 Hymn of Response

 Prayers and Confession         (Responsive)

Let us pray:

Lord, so many times we fail to remember that we

are members and heirs to Your Kingdom.

We act as though we live in our own kingdoms.

We focus on ourselves and our own little worlds.

We fail to live up to what You would have of us.

We haven’t given ourselves to You fully.

Forgive us, Lord, and give us the strength to

dedicate ourselves wholly to you.

(The pastor continues the prayer)

In the name of Jesus who taught us to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on

earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever.  Amen.
