Prayers and Confession         (Responsive)

Lord, You have blessed us greatly in this life.

Yet, we take credit for all we are and have.

We act as if Your work is our very own.

We fail to give you the praise and glory.

We are filled with pride and self-assurance.

Forgive us, Lord, and mold and shape us into

what you would have us to be

(The pastor continues the prayer)

In the name of Jesus who taught us to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on

earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever.  Amen.
